These are the things that I like to do–except for running. I really don’t like that. But I am doing a triathlon soon, so I gotta do it. Read all about it here.
Running:
My first race. Actually it’s a virtual mile. Kari over at RunningRicig is hosting it. The rules are pretty simple. Run a mile-outside. Wear the bib. Take a picture. Send results to her. The name of the race is “Proof that you didn’t peak in high school”. Actually, the last time I ran a mile, I was still in high school so I may have actually peaked in high school (I was in really good shape in high school). I have until the end of July to complete it.
I completed my mile in 11:11 which I think is pretty awesome since I haven’t really ran a mile since high school, and since it is my first race ever [even if it was a virtual race] it is an automatic PR! I should get extra points for running in >95 degree heat and >95% humidity.
1 mile-11:11...I must have a thing for ones.
Triathlon:
I am participating in my first triathlon on October 1. It is a 750yd swim in Lake Greenwood, a 12.8 mile bike ride in the park, and a 3 mile run in the same park. I have two and a half months or so to get ready.
